Industry gas applications

Gas technology

We have a standard range of products for the control of fluids under critical conditions of high pressure and aggressive environments. However, a lot of our applications are driven by the requirements of particular markets and several examples are given below of products that have been successfully developed against a variety of market requirements.

Power Generation

• A range of fuel control valves for Industrial Gas Turbines, we also produce auto drain valves, pressure regulators, back pressure maintainers and solenoid valves for this application.

Gas Production and Distribution

• A range of valves for Cylinder Filling applications, field proven for use up to 420 bar and qualified by third party approval institutions including BAM. The types include actuated and manual stop valves, regulators, non return valves, relief valves and filters.

Offshore

• Pressure and flow control equipment for Hydraulic Circuits on offshore rigs with the capability of working up to 690 bar.

Semiconductor

• High integrity control valves for Cylinder Filling applications and also at Point of Use within the wafer fabrication plant itself.

Ground Support

• For both Commercial and Military aircraft ground support applications where a source of gas is required we have a number of charging trolleys that can be used at low and high pressure.

Process Industry

• We serve many customers in the process industry sector and one application where reliability is paramount is the Blow Moulding Industry where our valves have to work 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Chemical and Pharmaceutical

• In the Chemical Industry our products feature in the control of corrosive fluids or in corrosive environments and the pharmaceutical industry makes wide use of our lab system product range.

UHP 600 Ultra High Purity Cylinder Valve

BOC Edwards and Hale Hamilton Valves Ltd have jointly developed an ultra high purity diaphragm cylinder valve for the semiconductor industry. The valve will be marketed to all the gas companies that serve the industry.
